Girl Crushes: Liza Arietz

As far as I’m concerned, Liza Arietz has the best etsy shop ever. She’s a Portland-based designer, and she creates the most amazing garments that are “structured yet feminine, detailed yet wearable, and are created individually, not mass-produced.”

I would love to exclusively buy U.S. made clothing and support independent designers. Maybe someday I can afford to do that. Until then, I’ll just have to save my pennies!

moustache on a radish

Here’s a cutie from nutandbee. Humphrey Radish, Esq. is quite the distinguished veggie.

Catstache

We don’t have a cat, but if we did, he might just need a Catstache. It’s a toy, made of recycled leather and stuffed with organic catnip.

Mr Bruce (from smosch)

Smosch’s butt-crack dolls have been making the rounds. And no wonder! They’re super cute and smile-enticing. Mr Bruce, in particular, strikes my fancy. Look at that ’stache!

Moustache Rubber Stamps

These moustache rubber stamps from Girlontherocks are fantastic. I’m a fan of rubber stamps because you buy them once, and you can use them forever. (I bought this little guy a while back, and I’ve used it probably 50 times so far.)

Moustache May

Yesterday marked the first day of Moustache May, a glorious celebration of upper lip facial hair. While not quite as exciting, I think, as Whiskerino, it is nonetheless amusing.

In honor of the occasion, I’ve decided to highlight moustache-related items this month. (No, I’m not tired of the hype yet.)

First up: ashleyg’s original illustration, Incognito.

Unfortunate Gingerbread

These partly eaten felt gingerbread men from Kate Sutton absolutely crack me up. That last one looks like he’s doing a little dance.

Alpha-birdy

I am so in love with this illustrated alphabet series by Paula Gibbs. Available as a full alphabet print and as individual letters, these images of tree branches and birdies would be adorable in a nursery or craft room. Just one more reason for loving Etsy (as if I need another).

John W. Golden on Etsy

Mr. Golden is having a “Buy One [Print] Get One Free” sale in his Etsy shop. I am particularly fond of his critter series. (Shown: The Sensible Owl and The Happy Bear)
